Niagara Falls and Priesthood restoration site

Sunday we went up to Niagara Falls. It was insanely busy! We were going to do the Maid of the Mist ferry tour but the line was 3 hours long so we just walked around and looked at what we could see.

We were going to walk over to the Canadian side because it looked wayyyy less crowded over there and you could see the whole falls but got nervous because it said people under 16 needed their birth certificate and we didn't have the boys. Pretty much it was a hot crowded mess and you couldn't see much ha ha. I guess that is what we get for not knowing you always go over to Canada to see Niagara Falls.
On the way home we were starving and Brooks was being his normal crying self so we stopped at Cracker Barrel. It was so yummy!

We started heading home on Monday and stopped a few hours down the road to see the Priesthood restoration site that the church just built a visitors center for.  It was so pretty! We walked around there for a bit and then went down to the Susquehanna River.  Carson played in the river for a little while and then we left. Then Brooks blew out and that called for another break so our short break turned into a 3 hour one...

The trip was a blast and tiring! But we are so glad we did it because who knows where we will be for school next.

Palmyra and Rochester

Even though Brooks cries in the car we decided to risk it and head up to New York for Memorial Day weekend. It was totally a last minute decision Friday morning so while Jordan was at school I hurried and packed and we left around 2 that afternoon. It was about an 8 hour drive and the way up the boys were awesome!! They were being so good that we just kept driving until we had to stop for gas. I was amazed they made it like 6 hours straight and me and Jordan wanted to stop before them but we didn't. Brooks did not want to wake up the next morning and he looked so cute in bed!

We first went to Palmyra and saw Joseph Smiths house, the Sacred Grove, Palmyra Temple, and Hill Cumorah. It was my first to all of the stuff but Jordan had been before when he was younger.  It's so amazing seeing all of the places in person!

At one point on the walk around to the houses you can see Moroni on the temple and then you turn around and the Sacred Grove is on the other side.

On our way into the Grove.

The Sacred Grove was pretty much everything I thought it would be. Being there with my kids was kinda a surreal feeling. We were trying to explain the first vision to Carson and he caught on to most of it quick. At one point there were some guys sitting on a bench in the Grove and Carson said "Hey friends, Look up. Jesus!" It was hilarious but I sort of felt bad for interrupting them.
Carson found a frog there.

The Hill Cumorah!

Before heading out of Palmyra we stopped by where the Book of Mormon was printed for a quick tour but by then the boys were done and tired.  So I ended up getting half a tour until Brooks broke down and Jordan sat in the front room watching Minions on his phone to get Carson to not run around crazy.

After getting some food in us and Brooks taking a quick nap we had to find some ice cream cause it was so hot!  We found a place called the Chill and Grill and Jordan ordered two small cones..... They were huge!! I can't even imagine what the large was!

Then we headed back to Rochester.  On the way to our hotel we had to stop by my parents old house!  It was sooo fun seeing it and seeing the area that they lived in when they were about our age. Such a cute place!

Just a random cool cemetery that we happened to end up at trying to find a park to play at.
We went on a walk by the Canal to get to a park that ended up being closed off then because they were having a "Rib Fest."  We were not way hungry but decided to go in and try a little. Definitely glad we did cause it was delish!

Runs and bike rides

Jordan is running a Tough Mudder race in a few weeks so he's been wanting to go out running.  Sometimes me and the boys go with. They ran to the park and Brooks got to swing for the first time.

Brother love.

Brooks finally got a hair cut that he probably needed a long time ago.  It was so sad to cut off all his baby hair! Even though it looks better because it's even now i'm still depressed about it ha ha.

Jordan taped up Carson.

Sunday bike ride with Jackson and Lucy.

Our raspberries have take over our whole garden box!  Good thing we love raspberries.

The babies at Bachelorette night! (Avery, Brooks and Raylee)

Carson and some random little boy that became his new friend looking at the lizards.  And the boys and me at the James River on a run.
