First tastes and Goodbye Mckay

Big boy Brooks started getting tastes of real food. He definitely loves it!

Playing friends.

After trying to get Brooks to nap all day I gave up and he fell asleep in the shower.

Ice cream family date was delish!

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Mckay:(  They moved out to Utah for the next 6 months for Med school rotations. I'm not sure Carson really knows what happened but he will when he can't play with him everyday.  We are going to miss them a lot!!

Crazy Storms and Father's day

Well apparently I need to watch the news more often. There had been huge storm warnings that I didn't know about and then that night it went crazy! There was so much wind and hail and rain just suddenly and the power went out. Luckily Lori was over to borrow something for a baby shower right when it went out because Jordan was out of town on a rotation and Carson was bawling and Brooks was screaming and I couldn't find the lantern so she helped out with the boys while I got candles and flashlights out.  Carson cried until I finally got him to sleep in our bed but he wouldn't turn out the flashlight to go to bed ha. Being a parent in a storm and power outage is so different than when it was as a kid. I felt like I shouldn't be scared cause I was the adult but I totally was! I'm just grateful for Lori and Travis being so close and helping out.  Our tree in the back snapped down and it killed alot of our raspberries.  Everywhere was a mess and we were out of power for 24 hours. It's crazy how much we rely on power.

Jordan's rotation was timed perfectly at the wrong time ha ha. He was gone with the storm and got home a hour after the power turned back on.  Carson still keeps turning the lights on and yelling "The powers on!"  He did not like not having lights and his shows ha.  But Jordan's rotation was great!  He got to do his first Root canal.

While the power was out I had to make a lot of stuff for our friends baby shower that was on Saturday.  I got great arm workouts hand mixing cookie dough, cake pops, and Oreo truffles.  Carson loved eating all the extra stuff in the bowls. Despite the power being out the shower turned out great!!

After the shower Jordan had planned a burger and homemade ice cream night with a bunch of people. He loves making ice cream and decided to make 4 different flavors. (Tin roof sundae, raspberry oreo, maple walnut, and blackberry)  They were all so yummy! While we were getting ready for the dinner Carson was running around playing with Jackson and Lucy when apparently Jackson got a hair cut and was in the bath and when Travis went back in the bathroom Carson had undressed and gotten in with them. Ha ha what great friends!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!
We love Jordan:) He told me not to put anything on Facebook so i'm sure he will love this post ha.  I'm just so grateful for such an awesome dad to my kids. He is always running around chasing Carson around the couch with Brooks in his arms even after a long day at school. Or taking him on bike rides with the neighbor kids. He is always puts Carson to bed and even cooks on days I don't make anything without even complaining. You can see how much Carson and even Brooks just love him so much.  Carson tells him every morning not to go to school and to play with him. We love Daddy!

Tough Mudder

The first ripe raspberry on our bush this year!  We were very excited:)

Brooks started rolling over!! He is getting soooo much better! No more crying all day. He still cries in the car and wants to be held all the time but i'll take what I can get. He unfortunately is not sleeping through the night at all and wakes up 2-3 times to eat. He is a scream talker ha ha. I love it!  Carson and Brooks are still completely different except I can tell he is going to be just as active as Carson is.  So I guess they will just run around together to get energy out eventually.
4 month stats
Weight: 15.7 lbs (45%)
Height: 25 1/2 in (58%)
Head: 16 3/8 in (42%)

We have Bachelor/Bachelorette nights with our friends every episode and make a dinner.  One night Lori decided to make dessert.  She made 5 different cheesecakes! They were all delish.

The pool is open!

Carson is loving Brooks more and more everyday! I love it so much! Everytime I take a picture of Brooks doing something Carson wants the same picture. They are going to be great friends.

After a long day swimming and no nap, we got in the car and he pulled his hat down and went to sleep in about 10 seconds.

The Tough Mudder Race! Jordan looooved the race!  It was 10 miles and had 20 obstacles. We wanted to watch but they charged 20 dollars to park and 22 a person to watch. What a joke... The boys had a breakfast a few hours before the race and then we all had a BBQ when they got home.

We decided to try out the Bacon Festival this year.  It was downtown and was alright. It wasn't what we thought it would have been. Pretty much it was normal food and they put bacon on top and we thought there would be different flavor bacon and things like that.  But it was still a fun outing.

Brooks getting big!  He loves being outside pretty much all the time.
