Johnson County Fair Kids day

The Johnson County Fair is going on right now and they had a free kids day.  So of course we saw free and headed over! First thing we got stuck doing was not a shock but it was the tractors. Ha ha! Carson and his tractors.... Brooks and his fuzzy blanket.....

The other major hit was the corn box.  It's a sand box with corn kernels! We are definitely in Iowa..... They could have stayed there all day and been happy. Carson wanted to go around and get all the free stuff by spinning the wheels and while we were doing that Brooks passed out.  He didn't wake up until i put him in his crib at home and then he just went back to sleep for 3 hours! Carson also fell asleep on the way home and took a nap on the couch.  So i would say they had fun!

More rainstorm fun! The little boy in the picture with Carson is Pierre.  He lives next door and is also 3.

Coloring, rain and 6 years!

This splash pad is right next to our place.  So we love it.
These little guys have been obsessed with books!  It might be normal for other kids but this is a weird image for me to walk into see in the living room.

Carson is still very in love with tattoos because of Maui.  Every time he has a pen or marker he draws all over himself and is so happy about his tattoos. We went to Walmart after this time and he was lifting up his shirt for everyone and yelling at them to look at his cool tattoos. The cashier was a buff black guy with tattoos all over and half his face and Carson just kept telling him how awesome they were ha ha.  The cashier was super nice to him about it all.

I made the big mistake of telling Carson how when he was a baby he would suck on this monkey thinking it was his binki and how silly he was. Later that day I was cleaning up the kitchen and went into the living room and he was asleep on the couch with the monkey!

We've had quite a few rain storms lately.  Unfortunately a lot of the time it comes with a huge siren outside and tornado warnings.  I'm still not sure how to react to tornado warnings because it freaks me out but it seems like no one around here really listens to it.  Maybe they are just used to it now. Carson is also into taking pictures lately.

Our anniversary isn't until next week but we babysat for a friend for her birthday so they swapped and told us to go out one night.  We decided it would be for my birthday/anniversary. Jordan picked out a restaurant.  It was really cool and right on the river so the view was awesome!

Happy 6 Years to us!!:)
Who would have known 6 years down the road Jordan would be a dentist and we would be in Iowa.  It's been a fun adventure so far!

Brothers and Police cars

Carson checking Brooks for cavities.

These two boys are quite a handful. They are always pulling the couch apart and jumping on each other. They either have so much fun together or everyone is crying.

More children's museum.  Brooks.... He is such a sweetie and loves his fuzzy things so much! Anything fuzzy he is rubbing his nose with it.  Or his arms or ears. He sat on this bench at the museum for at least 10 mins rubbing his nose cause he was tired.

I swear everything here is free and for kids! It is so nice! This one was all the rescue people came and kids could climb in their cars. They also had free donuts and drinks for everyone.  Carson loved the K9, Jago, and the bomb squad car.  The guys were so nice to him and told him to push a little red button that ended up being a wayyy loud horn. Carson and Brooks were shocked but laughed so hard about it after.  Hopefully it's the only time my boys will be in the back of a police car..
