More Chicago

We found a sacrament meeting Sunday morning and pretty much spent the entire time out in the foyer with our naughty kids ha ha.
Brooks feeding himself goldfish with his toes.

After church we found some food that ended up being by the Cubs stadium. We also didn't know that there was a game that afternoon so everything was packed and the streets were crazy ha ha. Brooks was wearing his Braves shirt from Kelsey and we had no idea that the Cubs were playing the Braves for that game!

The number one thing to do in Chicago was the Art Institute so we decided to check it out.

We really wanted to do the Skydeck but the wait for it was over 2 hours and with kids that's just not even possible.  So instead we did a Ferris wheel they just built that goes up to 200 feet and over looks the city. It was a better option with the kids and they loved it!

Saying goodbye to Weimers again..... They headed out early Monday morning since they had a long drive home. We are so glad they came up! It was much easier saying goodbye this time than the last knowing that we really will meet up with them often.

After they headed out we went back downtown with the Macdonalds.  They went to the Skydeck early to get in and we went and got Firecake donuts then met up with them. We all went and did the river walk and ate lunch before saying goodbye to them and both heading home.

Chloe added into our family picture.  It was so fun seeing her because she has changed so much! She is just the cutest thing ever.  I know I've said this so many times but we really lucked out on the friends we made in dental school.  I'm just so happy we met up already and not waiting years.  I just wish we could have had everyone there but we will take what we can get!

Chicago!

For Labor day weekend we went and met up with the Macdonalds and Weimers in Chicago!  We were so excited!  It's only been a few months of being away but it's felt like forever. Macdonalds are in Cincinnati so Chicago is a halfway point for us and we told Weimers and they decided to drive 10 hours to see us both. Carson did not want to go bed cause he wanted to see Jackson so bad but they ended up getting there late.
Their reunion was perfect:) They went straight back to their crazy selves.

The city was so busy and crowded probably because of the holiday weekend but it was still fun walking around. We saw the Cloud Gate, Millennial Park did a river cruise and got Chicago deep dish pizza!
