Christmas Eve and Day!

Merry Christmas Eve!  We just had a calm day hanging out and playing.  We did Santa Cookies and had steak and bubbly for dinner. Then opened Christmas tractor pajamas and a movie!

Santa brought Carson a fish:) He loves it.  His name is Dozer.

Merry Christmas!! Carson got spoiled by family :)

He was not the best at opening presents.  He opened a few and started playing with them and making towers out of the rest.  It took a few hours to get him to open them all!

We took out a few of the baby stuff to open up our closet downstairs and Carson was having a blast with them. He looked so silly trying to sit in the walker being so tall.

Nativity and lots of lights

The Richmond Zoo puts on a Live Nativity every year and it's free!  The owners of the zoo are actually LDS so a bunch of stakes help out every year.  They also do a fund raiser with hot chocolate and donuts.  The Nativity was short and sweet and it had live animals in it so Carson loved it.

Carson is a terrible eater so when Jordan took him to the store and he asked for broccoli of course we had to get it.  He actually ate a bowl of it that night!

We went out again to look at some of the Tacky Light Tour again and found an insane house!  It was two houses that apparently have done it every year and it's so crazy they have a donation box to help out.  They also gave out hot chocolate to every one!

White elephant and Grandma Campbell Visit

Before all our friends took off to family for Christmas vacation we all got together for a White Elephant party.  It's always a funny night with our friends.

After 2 weeks of lots of finals for Jordan he took off for an externship with the Oral Surgery Residency in Iowa.  It just happened to be good timing for me having a visit from Grandma Campbell!  She came out for just a few days before heading home from a work trip in Chicago.  It's been oddly great weather which is great for Carson.  We hung out at a park for a whole morning!

Grandma brought out a Gingerbread house to make with him.  He successfully licked every piece of candy before putting it on the house.

We went and looked at trees and watched shows and he got to stay up late.  It was so much fun!  Carson's favorite by far was riding the train with Grandma.  I don't think I've ever seen him get so excited as he was getting in that train.

It's always sad to say goodbye but we were so grateful for company!

Beginning of Christmas season!

Since Jordan has been gone with finals for the last 2 weeks I decided to stop waiting around for him to do things I wanted to do.  So me and two other friends braved handling the crazy boys alone and went to the Bethlehem Walk.  It is a free thing that the Salem Baptist Church puts on every year.

Well it really was amazing how realistic they made it.  It was a whole village with actors and everything. But they definitely need to figure out another way to fix the wait.  We got there 10 minutes after it opened at 6 and waited in line until 9!!  It got so cold and it was so long that by the time we actually got to the tour the boys were done.  We did the 45 minute tour in 20 minutes by skipping groups and walking ahead.

The other girls that came with, Kim and Rachel.  Carson's favorite part was that we got to ride a school bus from the parking lot to the place.

Carson and Mckay (Rachel's son) are new best friends.  They constantly are asking for each other and yelling out the window across the street to each other. Mckay calls Carson, "The Carson" and Carson wakes up asking me "where Kay at?"  It's pretty much a match made in heaven. It's also very convenient that Rachel just had a baby boy this week and i'm just following her with another in a month so hopefully they will be friends too!

We took Carson to the Mall to see some of the lights.  He is already in love with Christmas just because of lights.

Some houses by our church are apart of the "Tacky Light Tour" so we stopped to look at them after the Stake Christmas Celebration.

Thanksgiving in DC

I love finding Carson in funny places.. this time sleeping.

We've had a lot of really warm days so we decided to clean out the garden.  Carson thought it was great fun squishing the old tomatoes.

Late celebration of Jordan's birthday at Outback.

My little helper making a chocolate pie for Thanksgiving... By helper I mean he just kept eating oreos and playing in butter.

This year for Thanksgiving we decided to switch it up and be with family again!  Thanks to Tessa and Paul moving to DC we actually have family around ha.  We headed up in the morning and hung out all day.  Tessa's old roommate from BYU also joined.

So fun to be around them! Carson managed to find all of Noelle's ducks along with his.  He thought since they were ducks they obviously had to be his and tried taking them all home.

Jordan's school had a beard competition for charity this year.  They had a bunch of different categories that were involved and Jordan won most all of them:) It was weird when he kept asking me where my glitter was and then I found him making little ornaments for it ha ha.  Love him:)
