Not part of the Fourth but they have a burger week in Richmond so a lot of the restaurants have 5 dollar burgers during it. We all headed to Five Guys!
Happy Fourth of July!! They definitely do not celebrate in Virginia very much. It was pretty disappointing. The Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens were free that day and usually pretty pricy so we decided to check it out. They had a butterfly exhibit going on that was fun. You could just walk around and they would land on you and you can pick them up.
Me and Carson with our butterflies!
It's a very kid friendly place. They had a splash pad and tree house and lots of games for kids.
After we took a nap and then went over to the Olsen's for burgers and to watch the fireworks.
I thought Carson would be scared of the fireworks cause how loud they are but he loved them! He kept trying to touch them, blow them out, kept saying hot and sparkles and wow. It was so cute! He also didn't move the whole time which is a record!
Yesterday Weimers invited us over to do some sparkles! I was so happy because we went to multiple stores trying to find some but they said all fireworks weren't allowed in the county so they didn't sell them. So weird.
They loved them! It's so fun now that Carson is older and knows whats going on.
Yay! You finally got to do sparklers!:)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun 4th! And you look so cute. Love seeing pics of your family. We miss you guys so much! We couldn't find sparklers here last year-so I bought some on our trip to Idaho. Gotta have sparklers!
