Of course we had to go to a waterfall in Costa Rica. We ended up at the Llanos De Cortez Waterfall. It was just a small pathway down to the waterfall. It was so beautiful and relaxing.
Before heading out we were getting a group photo. There was a guy there that kept asking if we wanted him to take our picture, finally we said yes. So glad we did! He was hilarious and took the best photos and videos!
After the waterfall we packed up again and drove even longer up to the rainforest area where a sloth sanctuary was. On the way the driver stopped at a buffet style restaurant. Didn't know what we were doing but the food was great ha.
This area was so green! It was like a completely different look. We were laughing at the sanctuary when they told us to sign the waiver. It was just a plain piece of lined paper you signed! The tour guide for the sanctuary was so funny. Basically, you just walked around until you spotted things. Who knows if some were planted animals, but it was fun anyways! Found tree frog, snakes, rainbow tree, toucans, and the best sloths! One had a little babe on it. They are so cute.
The journey home was a very long one! We had ended up going around 4 hours in the other direction. On the way home the driver was calling around and says "the sugar cane road is open" which then saved us an hour travel time. It actually was a really pretty road that is sometimes partly underwater which is why it closes. It's always so interesting seeing houses and towns where people live life. Then when we got home we had food waiting for us!
