Utah time! Birthday celebrations

Well since Jordan is never home from studying me and Carson decided to head on out :)  Carson did as good as I thought a toddler would do on the airplane.  He was praying a lot at the airport for some reason...

We decided to tell Jordan's parents we were coming out a few days later then we actually were so that we could surprise them.  They were surprised ha ha!

July is birthday month for my family so we used to celebrate pretty much all month ha.  My mom treated me and Leigh with birthday hair cuts. Then we also went to Plates and Palates with Grandma and pa Brough. Thanks:)

Leigh got a chocolate lava cake to celebrate and I got a coconut cake.  Both were amazing!

Happy Fourth of July

Not part of the Fourth but they have a burger week in Richmond so a lot of the restaurants have 5 dollar burgers during it. We all headed to Five Guys!

Happy Fourth of July!!  They definitely do not celebrate in Virginia very much.  It was pretty disappointing.  The Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens were free that day and usually pretty pricy so we decided to check it out.  They had a butterfly exhibit going on that was fun.  You could just walk around and they would land on you and you can pick them up.

Me and Carson with our butterflies!

It's a very kid friendly place.  They had a splash pad and tree house and lots of games for kids.

After we took a nap and then went over to the Olsen's for burgers and to watch the fireworks.

I thought Carson would be scared of the fireworks cause how loud they are but he loved them!  He kept trying to touch them, blow them out, kept saying hot and sparkles and wow.  It was so cute!  He also didn't move the whole time which is a record!

Yesterday Weimers invited us over to do some sparkles!  I was so happy because we went to multiple stores trying to find some but they said all fireworks weren't allowed in the county so they didn't sell them. So weird.

They loved them!  It's so fun now that Carson is older and knows whats going on.

Visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa, Midsummer party

We feel spoiled with visitors! After Cameron left the next weekend we had a visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa Campbell.  They just got off their mission in Independence and are doing a road trip everywhere visiting family and friends.  He happened to get here on his 80th birthday!

Of course Carson latched onto Grandpa.

I walked into the kitchen to this one morning!  Carson sitting with Grandma and Grandpa eating breakfast.

We got Carson a puddle jumper finally.  He loves it!! He now is not scared of the water or swimming.  The only problem with it is that if he doesn't have it on now he thinks he can float still ha ha.

Eating airheads.

We got Carson a toddler bed because we saw one on Craigslist for a good price.  We haven't started putting him in it at night yet but he sure loves playing on it during the day.

The girls had a Midsummer party the other night.  Maggie put it together and it was great fun!  I don't know where the whole group picture ended up though.

Car show, turtles and visit from Uncle Cameron

Jordan and a few of his classmates went to a Saturday morning car show.  Carson loved the cars but wanted in all of them.  Luckly one of the classmates, Basil, has a nice car and let Carson play in it!

After the car show they went over to get Yoder's donuts.

We took Carson to a Nature park one day but pretty much all they had were turtles and snakes.

Cameron was doing a rotation in Ohio and was nice enough to drive 8 hours to see us for the weekend!  It was so great to see him again!

We went to Yoder's and to Maymont and Sugar Shack.  Pretty much we made the doughnut rounds ha ha.

We wish we were close enough for every one to drive up!
