Start of sickness and big man hat

Maui dancing with Boston and Benny.

Jordan's friend from class gave him his old smoker cause he got a new one. I think Jordan has a new baby:) He is obsessed and loves smoking chicken. I was a skeptic at first but it was the best chicken ever!

Brooks still just sits in his car randomly for a long time.  Carson started getting high fevers and sick. Luckily Carson sick isn't to bad cause he just sleeps all day.

For the Superbowl this year Carson was sick still so we just ate jello jigglers by our self.
Then Brooks started fevering.... He isn't so easy sick as Carson cause he just will not sleep and cries all day.

This one was because I wiped his nose.....

We had some great weather!! To bad all the kids in our ward are sick.. we tried to get out for a minute to get some sunshine.
Brooks just sitting in his car. Sick and sad.

Carson decided this bowl was his "big man hat." He also made me draw him a mustache like Austy. (Uncle Austin) It entertained him for a whole day which was much appreciated by me since being stuck inside for so long with sick boys.

Match Day

Match Day... It was a very long day. After finding out that we didn't match we then had to re evaluate things. I had a friend post a quote that was so perfect. "The only way God can show us he's in control, is to put us in situations we can't control." Later that night Jordan got a call from one of his top programs offering him their intern spot. After all the different emotions we are very happy to be going to Iowa City! The intern does the same thing as the first year resident so he will get lots of experience during the year. We will reapply to residencies at the end of the summer and interview in the fall again and see where we end up doing next summer.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKS!

Happy birthday Brooks! We started the day celebration with waffles and sprinkles. Brooks got to play on his new push car and he loves it!

After church we had some friends over for cupcakes and Brooks' smash cake. He walked around the room like he owned the place and loved every second.  Brooks didn't go as crazy with his smash cake as I thought he would but after getting his hands in it he did okay.

Brooks' one year stats.
Weight: 20.5 lbs (49%)
Height: 30 in (54%)
HC: 18 (38%)
Where to begin with Brooks... I can not believe how fast and slow it's been ha ha. He Came out screaming and he kept screaming. But once he decided he was okay with being here he flipped a switch. He is so sweet and I wish I could slow time down now.  His energy level is just as high as Carson. They play so well together about 60% of the time until Carson gets annoyed by him or Brooks starts messing with his stuff. Their favorite things to do are walking around the couch a million times and piling up all the couch cushions to jump on them. We love his full of teeth grin! So glad we got to have him join our family a year ago!

Family in Town!

Grandma, Grandpa and Austin came into town to see us and celebrate Brooks' birthday. It is always so nice having visitors!! I love seeing the boys with family.

Jordan's parents were nice enough to put the kids to bed and let us go out for dinner.  It was so weird just sitting and not wrestling kids the whole time! After dinner we met up with Austin and went to a movie.
