With the job switch and moving we actually got enough time in a row off to go visit Leigh and Todd in Germany! It's been a long time of wanting to make it work. We were so excited! The plane ride was very long but the boys did so well.
Didn't take Liam and Graham long to become best friends as soon as we got there. They got busy playing cars. We did okay for the first bit of the day but then started to get so tired. We walked into their town trying to stay awake. Saw a silly statue, went to the bank and ate some pastries at the bakery.
Walked down to the kids' school to play on their playground. Then later we went to a Beer Garden for dinner. By that time, we were so tired I'm not sure I remember much ha ha.
Getting all the gifts and fun treats out. The kids clicked like they had always been friends! They played so much and got along so well. Highlight was Todd's nerf guns.
It was so rainy and chilly! We went to Bebenhausen to a pretty monastery. We pulled up and asked if there were still Monks here and Leigh said no but when we walked in all of sudden there were tons of Monks! Ha ha they had a bunch of actors in and were filming a tv show I guess but it was a funny coincidence.
The Ritter Sport chocolate factory and store. We love their chocolate! The kids watched the video on making the chocolate for way longer than we expected. Then we bought way too much chocolate.
